This fast pace two day training seminar allows participants to become a Certified Healthcare Enterprise Architect. The focus of this seminar is on acquiring a general understanding of the EHR components, and how to implement and support it. The seminar assumes that candidates have several years of prior experience and/or knowledge in the healthcare clinical and IT domain. The training specifically does NOT address any generic IT knowledge, including networking components, basic clinical and/or knowledge about healthcare standards such as basic DICOM, HL7 and IHE as this knowledge should be acquired through experience and/or other preceding certifications.
After this seminar, the candidate will be able to function as part of an implementation team and/or manager to implement a Electronic Health Record system in a healthcare environment. He or she will be able to participate in the planning and scope definition process because the candidate will have a thorough understanding and knowledge of the architecture, the interfacing and use by the various users. The candidate will be well versed in the technical aspects such as interface and document standards. Special attention shall be given to the imaging components of the EHR.
There is a hands-on component for which attendees are encouraged to bring their own laptop.
You will get a certificate of completion at the end of the seminar.
In addition, this seminar will provide a review of the materials that are required for the CHEA certification.
Certification as a so-called CHEA (certified Healthcare Architect) is provided by the PARCA organization by taking the on-line CHEA examination at any time after the seminar. The CHEA examination fee is included with this seminar. Note that PARCA requires for taking this certification exam that the candidate has a CIIP and/or PARCA certification (minimal CPAS).
